What To Wear Hiking In The Spring
Hiking in the Spring is a beautiful time to connect with nature. It’s the time of year when everything outside is changing. After the long, dark winter months, Spring is literally a breath of fresh air. This is why I love to get outside during this time of year. I feel rejuvenated and excited for the new season. Blossoming flowers, cute baby birds, and warmer weather gives me all the Spring feels. However, when I go hiking in the Spring, I like to be as comfortable as possible. So, I have come up with a list of my favorite items I like to wear during this time of year. All these items are my go-to hiking outfits that are comfy, durable, and also look pretty stylish at the same time. Enjoy!

Layering
The key to hiking as comfortably as possible is layering! Spring can still bring in some chilly weather, so always make sure to bring a jacket or sweater just in case. If you are cold, put on a layer. If you are hot, take off a layer. When hiking, you don’t want to be too sweaty or too cold. You want to be just right, so layering will help with feeling as comfortable as possible.
My Favorite Outfits To Wear Hiking In The Spring
As most of you know, I am a sucker for good quality leggings that make me feel and look good. I tried out some new hiking outfits this Spring, and they were perfect for wildflower and sunset chasing. Check out my new favorite outfits below!
Tank Tops
A tank top is great for those warmer days out in the sun. I am all about feeling cute and comfortable while hiking! I have worn this shirt on serval hikes now and loved how the tank top felt and looked on me. >>>Buy My New Favorite Tank Top Here
Leggings
I am all about comfort when it comes to hiking. Because of this, leggings are usually my go-to hiking pants! Lately, I am all about my new Columbia Leggings! They are extremely soft and durable. I also like the huge pockets they provide where I can store my phone for easy access to take stunning videos and pictures of the trails. >>>Check Them Out Here
Joggers
Joggers are also another great option to wear while hiking. They are loose-fitting and can feel pretty comfortable, especially on those extra sticky, hot sunny days. I recently went hiking to a nearby trail with the Vuori Joggers and admired how they looked on me. >>>Check Out The Cutest Joggers Ever
Other Great Items I Like To Wear
Hiking Shoes
Getting shoes that are specifically made for hiking really helps improve mobility and gripping loose gravel and rocks. This Spring, I hiked with these Oboz Bridger hiking boots, and I love them! I like how they look, I love how they feel, and I also like that I didn’t need to break them in. I also used them on one of the most well-known steep trails in Washington called “Mount Storm King,” and they worked like a charm. They complimented my clothing perfectly. >>>Buy These Cute Hiking Shoes Here
Wool Socks
Wearing good socks while hiking can help prevent getting blisters. On long strenuous hikes, I like to wear my Smartwool Hiking Socks. On shorter, easier hikes, I like to wear the Smartwool PhD Run Ultra Light socks.
Backpack
I always carry a backpack so I can carry the ten essentials. Some of the essentials include water, food, extra clothes, a map, and a compass. I have had the REI Co-op Trail 25 Pack for 5 years now, and I love how roomy and lightweight this backpack is! I carry it on many of my adventures. >>>Buy This Cool Backpack Here
Rain Jacket
I don’t always wear a rain jacket when I hike, but I always pack it in my backpack in case it rains. One of the worst feelings in the world is hiking while being soaked, and you know Spring is the time for showers! I have been packing this Rainier Rain jacket lately, and I love how lightweight and comfy it is. >>>Buy REI Co-op Rain Jacket Here
Insulated Jacket
Even though it is starting to warm up in the Spring, I still like to bring an insulated jacket. I do this for both safety and comfort reasons. Usually, in mountain regions, it can still be pretty chilly at the higher elevations. When I am at the viewpoint, I sometimes like to put on a jacket to stay warm. The Patagonia Nano Puff has been my go-to jacket for years, and I love that it is made with recycled content. >>>Check Out This Cute Jacket Here
Mid Layer Sweater
Spring season can still be pretty chilly on the trails, so a nice warm sweater is great to have, just in case! I love all of Patagonia’s fleece sweaters because they keep me pretty warm. >>>Check Them Out In Different Colors Here
Sun Hat
Recently I have been wearing this hat on all my Spring hikes, and I love it because it blocks the sun from my eyes while walking. Plus, hats are a fun accessory to wear for your Instagram Pictures! I like the Brooks Sherpa Hats because they are made for runners. It is uber-breathable and lightweight. This hat looked pretty great. >>>Check Out This Awesome Hat Here
Sunglasses
Sunglasses are part of the ten essentials because they protect you from the harsh sunlight. >>>Check Out These Stylish Glasses Here
